The discharging of cargo from ships is performed by 3 gantry cranes of 50-52t and 6 gantry cranes of 20t each. The handling from land into barges is performed by 3 loaders with capacities of 1,200 to 2,000tph. There are also quay cranes, floating cranes, conveyers and stacker reclaimers for the stockpile. The total storage capacity is 4,500,000t.
Terminal for chemical products, fertilisers, urea, phosphate and apatite: There are 10 berths equipped with 2 gantry cranes of 25t each for discharging of phosphate and apatite and 2 gantry cranes of 200-250tph capacity for bulk fertilisers. There are also quay cranes, mobile cranes, stackers. Phosphate and apatite are stored in a covered silo with a capacity of 30,000t and other dry bulk chemicals are stored on an open platform of 30,000m2. Packed chemical products are stored in 8 covered warehouses with a total capacity of 48,000t.
Terminal for building materials: There are 8 berths for the handling of cement and building materials. The handling is performed with 2 pneumatic equipments of 250-300tph, quay cranes, mobile cranes, a floating loader for the transhipment of bulk cement from barges into vessels (capacity of 2,000t per 24 hours) A bagging installation is also available.
Terminal for cereals: There are 6 specialised berths in the North Port and 2 berths in the South Port with a max depth of 14.5m for the handling of grains. Loading/unloading of grains is performed with 5 pneumatic pumps of 100tph each, 2 pneumatic unloaders of 150tph, 2 loading/unloading units of 400tph, 1 loading/unloading unit of 800tph, 1 loading unit of 800tph, quay cranes, conveyor belts, floating elevators and floating cranes.
Oil terminal: There are 9 berths with depths between 11.5m and 14m and one berth of 17.5m depth which allows the accommodation of tankers up to 165,000dwt.
